Thank you for taking the time to be here.
Like so many in this profession, my path to wellness began out of a need to improve my own health. It has been and continues to be quite the journey filled with constant opportunities for self-discovery.
I am here now with gratitude and appreciation. It is a privilege and an honor to do this work and to support others in their own adventures of self-discoveries.
In 2007, I left a career in Human Resources Management to pursue the most profound-for-me work at the time that exponentially reduced my stress and pain like nothing else had.
This career shift changed my life.
While I am still a Licensed Provider, my work in this field has guided me to Health Coaching, in-depth studies with the International Coaching Federation, Somatic Experiencing®, and more as well as partnering with one of New Mexico's Native American Tribes as an Integrative Healthcare Provider and serving the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a Continuing Education Provider in Body Psychology for Licensed Bodyworkers.
In 2011, I was introduced to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). What began as a quest to resolve my own food addictions, weight struggles, and toxic lifestyle habits, soon became a way to effectively support others through what I'd learned. In 2012, I completed IIN's foundational certification program for Holistic Health Coaching, as well as their post-graduate accelerated program and became a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (CHHP) through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). I am currently Board certified by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC).
In 2017, out of a need to improve my approaching-50 fitness health, I became a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) with a specialization in Senior Fitness. This led to a certification in exercise nutrition with Precision Nutrition as well as a certification in yoga for Seniors (Yoga Fit & Silver Sneakers).
In 2020, the world shifted (understated). I wanted to learn more, do more, be more, serve more. This led to the study of hypnotherapy and then to HeartMath® — they are not the same. Both do, however, provide techniques that allow access to deeper levels of consciousness.
This work has been profound for my own personal growth.
In 2020, I became Board Certified in Clinical and Medical Support Hypnotherapy with a concentration in Accelerated Healing and Pain Management. I also began studies with The HeartMath® Institute and have completed certifications as a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath® Certified Practitioner, HeartMath® Certified Resilience Trainer, HeartMath® Clinical Certification for Stress, Anxiety and Self Regulation.
With all of its highs, lows, and many surprises in between, life truly is a unique personal adventure for all of us -
and no two stories are the same.
When we reach a point that we know that change must happen in order to reach our next level in life, we will be required to step outside of our comfort zone — outside of the place where all is familiar — and into the stretch where growth takes place and new creation occurs. While the journey itself is our own, having someone to support this transitional time can make all the difference.
